The “See Ya Later” Foundation is a 501(c)3  non-profit organization in Oregon and Washington that began out of the inspiration of a 12-year-old boy who died of cancer. Scott Banke had a zest for life and a courage that motivates the mission of the Foundation: “Inspiring Youth – Encouraging Families”.

Above is a copy of Seeds of Hope Instagram Account which notes WVQ’s participation with the donation of quilts. DHS and See Ya Later Foundation are keeping the Compassion Quilt Committee pretty busy, and soon expect to provide support to Project Linus .Until the committee is a bit more robust and organized, we aren’t looking for additional groups to support.
KUDO’s to the Commission Quilt Committee.

Inspiring Youth – Encouraging Families

We understand that dealing with a life-threatening medical crisis can be a very difficult experience for any family. Whether a family has a great deal of support or not, we have a passion to encourage and bless these families in a variety of ways with no strings attached! Although the board members of the “See Ya Later” Foundation knew from the beginning that supporting families would be one of their areas of service, it wasn’t until 2008 that this outreach, called Seeds of Hope, was born.

We are Happy to Support the Dayton Food Pantry

Willamette Valley Quilters is headquartered at Dayton First Baptist Church which has been so generous and supportive of our guild launch! The Dayton Food Pantry, a branch of YCAP Food Bank, is a separate entity from the church but shares their campus. In support of the Food Pantry, we will be collecting non-perishable food donations in one of their shopping carts which we will have available at our monthly meetings. So before you run out the door to come to the monthly meeting, grab a can, box or bag from your pantry and bring it with you to donate. Thank you for your support!

For more information on the Dayton Food Pantry, go to their website at daytonfoodpantry.com.
