Quilt designer and author, Karla Alexander has written eight books for Martingale & Company – That Patchwork Place.  She also designs patterns under the name Saginaw Street Quilt Company.  Karla is part of the design team for Creative Grids – and has designed seven rulers along with a variety of companion patterns.  Karla teaches workshops and give lectures all over the country and teaches how to quilt using a variety of methods,  including her own stack and shuffle methods.

Karla’s philosophy regarding quilting is to enjoy the process, learn from your experience and take what you learn from one project to the next. As a teacher, she enthusiastically inspires students to discover and create their own individual style and enjoy creative flow!
