June Program – Nancy Goldworthy

Our June speaker is Nancy Goldsworthy, who is an internationally recognized teacher and author from Portland. Her love of fabric and sewing began at a very early age and continues to color her life today. Her career spans 45+ years in the textile industry. 25 years in apparel production covered everything from fabric development to garment construction.
She will be sharing her knowledge of which threads and needles play well together and explain what causes problems while sewing. If you have ever sat at your machine and scratched your head wondering why you are having thread issues, you will not want to miss this program. Be sure and bring paper and pen to take notes!
We will also have a workshop following the meeting where Nancy will teach us to use all types of embellishments to enhance our fabric pieces. Nancy has a collection of embellishments that she will be sharing and also encourages participants to bring their favorites. This will be a fun workshop! Sign-ups will be at the May meeting. The cost is $30.
